Tata ClassEdge announces winners of ClassEdge Classroom Champion (CCC) 2017

2,500 teachers from over 350 schools across India participated in the competition

Mumbai, 7th Feb: TATA ClassEdge, a leading provider of innovative technology-based learning solutions for schools, announced the winners of the second edition of ClassEdge Classroom Champion (CCC) competition. Ms. Neha Kewal from Gillco International School, Mohali the National Winner, won a prize of Rs. 50,000, and was felicitated by Mr. S Padmanabhan, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Tata Sons.

CCC was launched in 2016 by Tata ClassEdge to recognize teachers who have creatively adopted technology in classroom teaching. The first edition witnessed participation from 1,500 teachers across 250 schools. Over 2,500 teachers from 350 schools across India participated in the competition, and 12 teachers were shortlisted for the finals which were held in Mumbai on 6th and 7th February.

Speaking on the occasion, Nirav Khambhati, CEO of Tata ClassEdge, said, “We launched this platform last year and got a tremendous response from schools across India. This year, we saw even greater participation from schools and teachers. In the process of conducting CCC, we have further enriched our repository of best teaching practices which is available for everyone to access and use.”

Evaluations were conducted at three levels – school, regional and zonal – to identify the top 12 teachers eligible for participation in the final round. A panel of eminent educators and academicians judged the presentations that the teachers made. Mr. Parvez Hashmi from The Emerald Heights International School, Indore bagged the second place, while Ms. Vibhavari Deshmukh from M.V.P. Samaj’s horizon academy, Nashik stood third.
